The Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture has raised approximately USD 5.2 million in donations to support victims of floods and landslides across several regions in Sumatra. From the total contributions, Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman dispatched 207 trucks of logistical aid worth USD 2.4 million to communities affected in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

Among the many participating partners, support also came from businesses in the livestock and animal health sub-sectors, including Charoen Pokphand Indonesia (USD 283,000), Japfa Comfeed Indonesia (USD 207,000), Sulung Ranch (USD 172,000), Mitra Berlian Unggas, and Suri Nusantara Jaya (USD 69,000). All funds allocated for emergency needs, logistics, and initial recovery.

Charoen Pokphand Indonesia’s aid included USD 76,000 worth of ready-to-eat sausages (60,000 jars) alongside drinking water, instant noodles, milk, and eggs. North Sumatra and West Sumatra each received an additional USD 6,900 in logistical support. The initiative underscores a strong public-private collaboration to assist disaster-stricken communities swiftly.
