The global insect feed market is expected to grow significantly from USD 5.14 billion in 2024 to USD 40.67 billion by end-2034, with an annual growth rate of 23%, a report by Fact.MR said.

Growing awareness about the environmental impacts of conventional livestock farming, including deforestation, water usage, and greenhouse gas emission, will likely drive increased consumption of feed insects.

The report explained that insects are rich sources of protein, minerals, vitamins, and healthy fats, making them an attractive option to enhance the nutritional profile of animal feed probiotics. Rising recognition of their potential in feed is predicted to propel their adoption.

Ongoing r&d initiatives aim to discover new methods to produce, process, and incorporate insects in feed formulations on a larger scale. Advancements in farming methods and technologies are expected to make feed insects more feasible and scalable.
