Vietnam’s leading pangasius producer Vinh Hoan has begun operating its surimi factory in Dong Thap province. The factory, which uses Japanese technologies, can produce 1000 tons of surimi annually. Vinh Hoan has also completed its pangasius value chain by investing in fish feed and fingerling production, as well as fish farming. The company accounts for 17% of Vietnam’s total pangasius exports, which yielded USD 963 million in H1 2022, said the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers.
