Dong Nai plans to build more areas that are safe from avian influenza and Newcastle diseases in five communes in Dong Nai province. This is to support and encourage egg exports to South Korea. According to Tran Van Quang, Head of Dong Nai Department of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health, Thanh Duc Production and Livestock Company in Xuan Loc district is planning to increase its layer flock from 180,000 birds to 600,000 birds in 2019 to serve the growing demand for export of clean eggs. Dong Nai is the only province in the country to successfully build two disease-free zones in Trang Bom and Thong Nhat districts. The 27 communes of these two districts have managed to control avian influenza and Newcastle disease.
