Reviving the National Task Force Price and Volume Watch will help the Philippines address rising chicken prices, Elias Jose Inciong, President of the United Broiler Raisers Association, told Asian Agribiz. He said the task force can establish a baseline on the industry situation, validate whether the Bureau of Animal Industry measures help, and give industry players a forum to contribute to efforts. While chicken prices fluctuate weekly, they are on an uptrend, with the average price of different sizes rising between 3-7% since the beginning of June.
