Profiting from dairy at the Dairy Feed QC

- Shane Whittaker will deliver the keynote address at Asian Agribiz’s Dairy Feed Quality Conference (Bangkok 16-17 September, 2019) on how to profit in the dairy industry. The New Zealand-based dairy farmer and independent consultant has a degree from Massey University and has managed farms in UK/USA, in India with Hatsun Agro and currently manages a Holstein Friesian and HF Jersey cross milk herd. Shane’s role with Hatsun Agro, consisted of leading ‘Project White Gold’ developing farms of 10-30+ cows arranging loans, education, budgeting, R&D and feed formulation among others.

Making profits in dairy farming over the whole enterprise

- Shane Whittaker, a dairy farmer and independent consultant from New Zealand, will explain that the key to making profits in dairy farming is knowing where to spend your money, during the Dairy Feed Quality Conference on 16-17 September at the Hilton Sukhumvit in Bangkok. Mr Whittaker's career has taken him the full circle from a degree from Massey University and share milking in NZ, to farms in the UK, USA, to eight years in India with Hatsun Agro and back to New Zealand where he currently runs a large milking herd of Holstein Friesian and HF Jersey cross. He will join an exciting team of practical hands-on speakers all with experience of milk production under tropical conditions. Closing date for registration is September 9.

- Brendan Wilkins, an independent dairy consultant based in Thailand who advises operating farms and farm set-ups throughout the region, will address calf and heifer rearing principles at the Dairy Feed Quality Conference on September 16-17 at the Hilton Sukhumvit in Bangkok. Mr Wilkins was previoulsy Manager of Farm Management Services South East Asia for DeLaval based in Vietnam, Assistant Farm Manager for Almarai, Saudi Arabia, and has held other farm management roles in Canada and Saudi Arabia. TH Milk director to speak at Dairy Feed Quality Conference

Hanan Saggi, Director of Feed & Nutrition Department at TH Milk, Vietnam, will speak on ‘Raw material options for Asian dairy production’ at the 2019 Dairy Feed Quality Conference. Mr Saggi is responsible for two feed centers, producing 500,000 million tons of total mixed ration a year, and a feed mill, producing 100,000 tons of concentrate for TH Milk’s 40,000 head herd. The Dairy Feed Quality Conference will be held on 16-17 September at the Hilton Sukhumvit in Bangkok, Thailand and will bring together an exciting team of practical hands‐on speakers all with experience of milk production under tropical conditions. Closing date for registration is September 9.
