Vietnamese pangasius producer Navico expects stronger sales in the US and Brazil as changing market conditions create opportunities for its exports.
Asean Securities forecasts Navico’s export volume to the US could increase around 20% this year. Chinese whitefish supply to the market has declined under tariff pressure, while US whitefish consumption continues to grow, and inventories are falling.
Navico is well-positioned to capture the opportunity, as its products meet US market requirements and the company currently faces no anti-dumping duties.
Brazil is emerging as another growth market, with Navico’s pangasius export volume forecast to increase 25%. The country is considering opening its market to a broader range of pangasius fillet products, which could further expand demand.
Navico is also expanding capacity. Its vertically integrated operations supply 100% of its raw fish requirements, while a new processing plant will add capacity to handle 150 tons of raw fish daily.
