Vietnam sees a new shift toward larger household chicken flocks

Vietnam’s household chicken production is moving toward larger flock sizes, according to the country’s 2025 Rural and Agriculture Census. 
The proportion of chicken-raising households keeping at least 100 birds rose to 8.2% in 2025 from 4.6% in 2016, nearly doubling over the period.
