Japfa supports Indonesia poultry farmers with reduced feed costs

Japfa Comfeed Indonesia has reduced animal feed prices to help stabilize the country’s poultry sector ahead of Eid al-Fitr.

Arif Widjaja, COO of Poultry for Japfa, said the move aims to ease production costs for farmers, particularly since feed, largely corn-based, remains the biggest expense in poultry farming. Lower feed prices are expected to improve farm efficiency while helping maintain a stable chicken supply and prices during the festive season.

Japfa is coordinating with Indonesia’s Ministry of Agriculture to periodically adjust feed prices. The company hopes the policy will support poultry farmers, ensure a stable corn-based feed supply, and keep poultry products affordable for consumers during Ramadan and Eid celebrations.
