Indonesia’s beef cattle shortage can be resolved with imports

Gapuspindo warns of a shortage in Indonesia this year.

The Indonesian Beef Cattle Businessmen’s Association (Gapuspindo) warned of a shortage this year and suggested imports to bolster domestic stocks. "Consumption is estimated at 720,375 tons and production at only 281,640 tons," Gapuspindo Executive Director Joni Liano told Asian Agribiz.
