Supplementary milk needed for piglets to fill nutritional gap

Producers increasingly use supplementary milk in addition to solid creep feed to minimize weight variations.

Given the higher ambient temperatures in Southeast Asia, sows might have lower feed intake due to heat stress. Consequently, sucking pigs face a greater nutrient deficit than those in colder climates. Thus, providing supplementary milk to suckling piglets in the regions would be beneficial.
