Worrying pork future as prices continue to decline

Pork prices in Vietnam continue to decline. Do Xuan Huy, Deputy General Director of CP Vietnam, said consumption is evolving with consumers reducing interest in the meat. This is obvious also in other Southeast Asian countries, leading to a flow of illegal pigs from places with lower prices to higher ones. According to Vietnam’s Department of Livestock, due to ASF outbreaks many farms have sped up pig liquidation, leading to a glut and low prices.
