Vietnam’s Dabaco Group has announced the results of its ASF vaccine trial on 200 pigs, showing it provided an 80-100% protection rate. The inoculated pigs were 4-8 weeks of age. Dabaco’s ASF vaccine is an attenuated freeze-dried vaccine. “We are 2/3 of the way to complete development. However, we need more trials to test the stability of the vaccine in all types of pigs, at different ages and sizes of farms,” said Deputy Minister of Agriculture Phung Duc Tien.
