West Sulawesi sent out its second shipment of palm kernel cake (PKC) in August, of 5500 tons (worth USD 878,500), to China. It initially exported 3800 tons of PKC to Thailand in January 2023. Agus Karyono, head of the province’s Mamuju Agricultural Quarantine, said they issued a phytosanitary certificate for the shipment to guarantee that the product passed several quarantine checks and fumigation treatments required by China.
