Berdikari’s GP imports to benefit smallholders

Indonesia’s Berdikari has imported nearly 34,000 broiler GP consisting of 20,000 D-Line in two batches this May. The birds are for Berdikari’s farms in Pasuruan, East Java. The first batch of 16,848 GP arrived on May 7, and the rest on May 13. President Director Harry Warganegara said Berdikari is committed to the government’s efforts for the poultry industry, especially smallholder farmers. This will give farmers access to quality DOC at affordable prices. “We will absorb their live chickens and farmers will benefit from price stability,” he said.
