It expects to import 1000 tons of beef this year, thanks to rapid growth in restaurant dining and growing popularity of beef consumption. Makro is Thailand’s top importer of fresh Australian beef. It has also seen high demand for seafood such as Tasmanian salmon from health-conscious consumers who are looking for affordable seafood.
