Entobel has partnered with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to scale up its operations in Vietnam.
IFC will support the early-stage development of Entobel’s expansion plans in Vietnam and other countries by sharing international best practices and supporting the company in achieving its sustainability targets.
The Singapore-based insect meal producer is currently constructing a 10,000 ton/year plant in Vung Tau province, expected for completion later this year. Entobel’s insect meal is used mostly as a sustainable alternative to fishmeal in the aquaculture industry.

“We are impressed by Entobel’s operations in this innovative industry, which can provide a sustainable high-protein alternative to wild-caught fish used in aquafeed. Reaching scalable production levels of insect meal will help protect marine ecosystems and reduce the depletion of ocean resources. We are happy to support Entobel on this impactful journey,” said Thomas Jacobs, IFC Country Manager for Vietnam, Cambodia, and Lao PDR.
“This will enable us to accelerate international expansion in Asia where we are convinced the strongest growth potential lies for this industry,” remarked Entobel co-founder Gaetan Crielaard.
