Public, traders warned against hoarding eggs

Authorities in Melaka, Malaysia have advised the public, especially traders, against hoarding eggs for the coming festive season. Imported eggs from India are helping to balance supply in the state. However, State Director of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Living Costs, Norena Jaafar, warned that while egg sales are not limited, the coming Chinese New Year and Ramadan celebrations might lead to a spate of hoarding for baking and cooking.
