Meat maybe pricey but it is not the end of the road

The era of high production costs is here to stay, well at least for the rest of the year it seems. From Thailand’s high pork prices to the high cost of sacrificial cattle in Bangladesh for Eid-al-Adha this year, the signs are clear. Input costs are too high to pass on. Profit margins have shrunk and consumer demand is expected to be subdued with high meat prices. But this is not the end of the road.

However, companies which adapt with new technology and forge ahead can still beat prices down in the long run, opening up new opportunities for the future.
