Consumers in Vietnam switch from pork to poultry

Vietnamese consumers are consuming less pork and more poultry. According to market research company Ipsos, the annual per capita pork consumption in Vietnam decreased from 31.4kg in 2018 to 23.5kg in 2022. Meanwhile, annual per capita poultry meat consumption grew by 8.5% to 20kg in 2022. Meanwhile, pork prices are not expected to increase until end-2022 as demand has not fully recovered after the Covid-19 pandemic.
