Pig feed costs have risen by 40-50% year-on-year in Nepal, says Nepal Wellhope Agri-Tech. The company, the largest pig feed producer in the country, has seen raw material prices increase over the last few months. Its National Sales Coordinator and Strategist, Jitendra Lama, told Asian Agribiz it is hard to pass on the higher cost as pork prices have remained stable. In Nepal, pork sells between USD 3-3.4/kg, while feed cost has gone up to USD 0.5/kg.
