Higher feed costs hound beef cattle producers in Indonesia

Beef cattle producers in Indonesia must bear higher production costs since their feed costs are increasing. Muhammad Ade Suwandi of beef cattle feed producer Win Agri Jaya said the price of concentrate has increased by USD 0.23/kg. Meanwhile, soybean meal price has risen to USD 0.68/kg from USD 0.60. “Because of the feed price hike, the price of live cattle, both local and imported, have also increased,” he said.
