Chigo, a fried chicken brand of Indonesia’s f&b chain Kenangan, is expanding to Sumatra this year, beginning with Medan. First established in February 2021, the company currently has 40 outlets across Greater Jakarta. James Prananto, Business Development Officer and co-founder, said opening in Medan is the company’s strategy to introduce its products widely. “Medan is a culinary center,” he said. The first outlet in Medan opened on January 29. The ninth outlet will open on February 18.
