Poultry companies in India that expanded their online presence during the pandemic are seeing online sales contract. Kunal Pathre, a partner at Kukoochku Farms, told Asian Agribiz that the slowdown followed the reopening of businesses. “People are moving around, so they order less. They want to go out and shop,” he said. The company is now focusing on getting back their Horeca and wholesale markets. While pickup has been slow, Mr Pathre believes the margins are better in this segment.
