Reducing food waste leads to better meat yields. “For meat producers, yield is king. [That’s where it starts], getting the most meat possible for consumption,” Grant Parsons, APAC Leader – Protein Solutions at JBT told Asian Agribiz. JBT’s Waterjet Portioners are essentially computerized waste reduction machines. “They scan each piece of meat, looking for the best cutting portions such as strip and nugget.
