The Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (Vasep) forecasts Vietnam’s pangasius exports in 2022 to reach USD 1.7 billion, up 13% year-on-year. Vasep Secretary General Truong Dinh Hoe said the industry’s growth would be driven mainly by the companies’ adaptive efforts and the government’s support mechanisms. He added that exports to the US, Russia, and Egypt are expected to recover this year, while a decline is expected in exports to China and the EU due to Covid-related issues.
