Pig producers in Malaysia need a better environment and modern systems to sustain operations. “Production has changed significantly over the years. New pig breeds need better, controlled environment to be sufficiently productive. The animals need to be raised in a complete, modern setting using modern equipment/machines. This is a basic change farmers need to comply with,” said Dr Ng Siew Thiam, Managing Director of Green Breeders Sarawak to Asian Agribiz.
