Sustainability is now a buzzword in animal protein production. Yet there remains some misunderstanding or misconceptions about what sustainability means and what it entails.

Peter Fisher, President of Aviagen Asia, sat down with Asian Agribiz to discuss the three pillars of sustainability—economic, environmental, and social—and the importance of balancing the three in broiler production.

“Sustainability is good for business,” he said. “I think [companies] have always looked at the various elements of sustainability, but more and more, industries across the board have been looking at it in a much more holistic way.”
