Indonesia targets more livestock, animal health exports


Indonesia’s Ministry of Agriculture targets to export livestock and animal health products to 100 countries in 2022. The Ministry currently has exported to 98 countries. “We are mapping potential foreign markets and identifying their requirements,” said Makmun, Acting Director of Livestock Products Processing and Marketing. Data from the Central Bureau of Statistics show that as of August, export value reached USD 800,000. Fresh and processed food figured as the largest segment valued at USD 490,000. Live animal exports reached USD 42,000, while livestock vaccines & medicines hit USD 40,000.
