Vietnam initiates urgent solutions to improve pig prices

Vietnam’s government is working to improve pig prices, which have fallen to the lowest levels in the past two years. “The government understands farmers’ difficulties and will find solutions to encourage consumption, stabilize prices, and ensure the interests of farmers and consumers,” said Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh. He directed local authorities to work with producers and processors to boost pork consumption. He also asked ministries to strengthen price management of animal feed and veterinary drugs to reduce cost pressures and encourage farmers to continue production.
