Indonesia’s livestock & animal health sector grows 7%


The Indonesian livestock & animal health sector scored strong growth in Q2 2021, with gross production value up 7.07% year-on-year (yoy). General Director of Livestock and Animal Health Nasrullah attributed the strong performance to the hike in poultry production due to higher domestic and export demand. He also noted that local investment in Q1 grew 86.1% yoy to USD 60 million. Meanwhile, foreign investment decreased 31.5% yoy to USD 1 million.
